Centroid and Node Layers

A centroid or a node are displayed as a base node and a node value

The base node displays the node as a circle or a box. You can specify the size of the base node, or have the size automatically set to fit around the node label. You may specify the color of the node box or choose to have the color vary depending on a Color Expression.

You may also show only a subset of the centroids or nodes by defining a Filter Expression. Only those centroids or nodes that meet the Filter Expression criteria are displayed on the network plot. You may also define a Label Expression, with the label plotted at the center of the centroid or node. Finally, you can define a Hint Expression. The result of this Hint Expression is displayed as a hint as you move the mouse over the centroids or nodes.

You may also define a Value Expression and display the result of this expression on the network plot. The result of the value can be displayed as one of a number of shapes including a vertical bar, nablus, diamond, star, and more. If the Value Expression has more than value result (a multi-value expression), then you may plot each value result using the vertical bars, stacked vertical bars, horizontal bars, stacked horizontal bars, and pie shape.

An example of a network plot with a node base and node value is below.
