Link Layer
Links are displayed as a base link and a link value. You can display the link either as a straight line between the two nodes or with a curve. See Link Curves for information about creating curves.
The base link displays the link as a line or curve between two nodes. You can specify the width of the link, and you may specify its' color or choose to have the color vary depending on a Color Expression.
You may also show only a subset of the links by defining a Filter Expression. Only those links that meet the Filter Expression criteria are displayed on the network plot. You may also define a Label Expression, with the label plotted at the center of the link. Finally, you can define a Hint Expression. The result of this Hint Expression is displayed as a hint as you move the mouse over the link.

You may also define a Value Expression and display the result of this expression on the network plot. The result of the value is displayed as a link bar with the width of the bar based on the result of the Value Expression and the scale factor. The value bar is plotted next to the base link. If the Value Expression has more than value result (a multi-value expression), then each value result is plotted as a link bar starting with the first expression as the innermost bar.
You may choose to display the result of the Value Expression as a label, with label either plotted within the link bar (if space permits) or on top of the link bar.

An example of a network plot with a link base and link value is below.
