Transit Lines and Segments



To show all the transit lines and segments of a scenario, click the Network button, select the Transit Lines, Segments or Segment Nodes layer and then click the Layer Data button. 

This Transit Line table is displayed below the network plot. Right-click anywhere on either table to display a popup menu with related commands. The top table shows the transit lines while the bottom table shows the segments of the selected line. 



The columns in the each table contain the attributes which describe each transit line and transit segment. 

The attributes for transit lines are:

1. Name
2. Mode
3. Description
4. Vehicle Type
5. Headway
6. Default Speed
7. Layover 1
8. Layover 2
9. User Data 1 (ut1)
10. User Data 2 (ut2)
11. User Data 3 (ut3)

As well, the transit line table shows the number of segments which are defined for each line.

The attributes for transit segments are:

1. From Node
2. To Node
3. Link Function
4. Turn Function
5. Dwell Time
6. Dwell Time As Factor
7. Stop Setting At To Node
8. User Data 1 (us1)
9. User Data 2 (us2)
10. User Data 3 (us3)
11. Transit Volume*
12. Transit Time*
13. Boardings At From Node*

* Attributes displayed only if the current scenario has an auto or transit assignment result.

The comparison scenario attribute, any extra attributes that may be defined, and any column expressions are also shown in the table.

If your database has an extra attribute table, you may also add or delete extra line and segment attributes. To add an extra line or segment attribute, right-click either table for the popup menu and choose the Add Extra... menu option. Enter the name and description for the extra attribute and click OK. The extra attribute can be a maximum of 5 characters and the first character must be a lower case letter. Note that you do not have to enter a '@' for the extra attribute name. To delete an extra attribute, first move to the column of the extra attribute that you wish to delete, right-click to display the popup menu and choose the Delete Extra... menu option. Following confirmation, the extra attribute is deleted.
