Zooming and Panning

Zooming means to move in or out of the network plot, viewing the plot at a greater or lesser level of detail. To zoom in or out, first make sure that the network plot has focus. You can do this by clicking on an empty space within the plot window. If you right-click anywhere on the plot window, a menu with various plot commands is displayed.
  • To Zoom In, press and hold the Shift key. Note that the cursor changes to a magnifying glass with a plus sign. Either click on the plot window to zoom in to this point, or click and drag to define a new window.
  • To Zoom Out, press and hold the Ctrl key. Note that the cursor changes to a magnifying glass with a minus sign. Then, click on the plot window to zoom out from this point.
  • To Pan or move the plot, press and hold both the Ctrl and Shift Keys. The cursor changes to a hand. You may then click and drag the plot so you can see another part of the network. You may also press any of the pan buttons on the top left of the Plot Toolbar.
  • To zoom to the network extents, either click the red button in the center of the pan buttons on the top left of the Plot Toolbar, choose the Plot|Extents menu command, or press Ctrl-Alt-X.
