Network Views

There are many ways to view an EMME/2 network. You can create thematic plots, desire lines, screenline plots, network plots with various colors and line widths, and so on. With the M2Assistant, you can easily save and restore a specific network plot using network views.

A network view has three parts; a theme, a window, and a print box. The theme defines the layers that are visible and the properties associated with each layer (such as colors, expressions and fonts). The window defines the area of the network that is currently visible.  The print box defines the area within the window that is to be printed or copied to the clipboard.

When you click the View button of the Plot Toolbar, the view settings are displayed to the right of the network plot. To restore a theme, window or print box, just double-click one. To save a new network plot theme, window or print box, click the New button, or click the Save button to overwrite the selected item. You can also rename any item by selecting it, pressing F2 and typing in a new name.

Themes are stored in a separate files, located in the same folder as the EMME/2 database, with an '.m2v' file extension. Windows are stored in a file called M2Window.m2a that is also located in the same folder as the EMME/2 database. Print boxes are stored in a file called M2PrintBox.m2a that is located in the folder where you installed M2Assistant.
