M2Assistant tables

Each EMME/2 network element can be displayed in an Excel-like table. Within each table, you may edit or delete any network attribute.

Click the Modes or Vehicles toolbar button to display or edit modes and vehicles. Or, click the Network button to plot the network and display or edit centroids, nodes, links, transit lines or turns

For example, to edit the network links, first select the links layer from the list of layers on the left, and then click the Layer Data toolbar button to display the links network data in a table below the plot.

Each table displays all of the attributes that define a network element including any extra attributes which may have been defined. In any table, you can
  • Adjust the width of any column (move the mouse over the column heading to resize the column)
  • Hide columns (select a column and press F7).
  • Reset the table to it's default setting (press F8)
  • Show or hide the key columns (press F9)
  • Define column expressions (press F11)
  • Move or re-arrange columns (click and drag a column heading)
  • Copy contents into and from the Windows clipboard (use the Edit menu).
  • Send the table contents directly to an Excel spreadsheet (click the Excel button).

You may also right-click the table to display a popup menu with a number of options specific to each table including options to add or delete extra attributes.

The color of the top-left cell of each table changes depending on whether the table is read-only or whether you are permitted to edit network attributes. Select the Preferences option from the General group of the M2Assistant bar to define this (and other) table colors.

Also, each of the network tables (centroids, nodes, links, transit lines and turns) has a column reserved for showing an attribute from another scenario (called the Comparison Scenario). In the example above, the User Data 1 attribute from Scenario 1000 is displayed beside the other centroid attributes.

You may select the comparison scenario by right-clicking the scenario tab and selecting the Comparison Scenario menu option. Note that a blue box is shown in the tab which indicates that this is the current comparison scenario.  You may also use the attribute from the Comparison Scenario in a filter or expression, using the compare keyword

Double-click the column heading of any attribute to select that attribute to be displayed from the comparison scenario. For example, to display User Data 2 from Scenario 1000, you would first right-click the Scenario 1000 tab and then double-click the User Data 2 column heading. Note that the color of the heading changes to show you which attribute is the currently selected comparison attribute.
