Setting equivalent coordinates
With M2Assistant, you can view a MapInfo or ESRI GIS file, or a picture file (JPG or BMP) as a separate layer along with the EMME/2 network layers. However, the GIS or picture file coordinates likely do not match up with the EMME/2 network coordinates. You can easily adjust the position and size (or scale) of the GIS/picture file by matching two points on the EMME/2 network plot with two points on the GIS/picture file.
To do this, select the GIS or picture layer and click the Properties button. On one of the tabs, you'll see the following:

Enter the X and Y coordinates of two equivalent points for both the EMME/2 network and the GIS or picture file. You may either enter these coordinates manually or click on the x,y button and then click on the network plot to obtain each of the point coordinates. Once you have entered all four points, click the Calculate button to translate the GIS file coordinates or the picture coordinates to equivalent EMME/2 network coordinates.
